Dr. Cyr is a fellowship-trained spine surgeon who serves patients at the Orthopedic & Spine Institute in San Antonio, Texas. As a cosmetic surgeon, he practices at CYRx MD Cosmetic Surgery in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Cyr treats complicated spine conditions and enjoys international notoriety for successful repairs of failed surgeries. Moreover, he is the first and only dual fellowship-trained Orthopedic and Cosmetic Surgeon in the WORLD (with the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery).
“During his training, Dr. Cyr realized his orthopaedic background had equipped him with a rare knowledge of the musculoskeletal system that could further enhance the advancements being made in liposculpture and body contouring. His profound knowledge and understanding of the ideal anatomy enhanced by his lifelong passion for fitness and bodybuilding enabled him to identify anatomic flaws in high-definition liposculpture which result in a manufactured or artificial appearance. His unique approach called “OrthoSculpt” increases the potential to create the more natural look of a true fitness athlete or bodybuilder. Ideal cosmetic surgery makes it difficult to distinguish a surgically-crafted body from one built in the gym”, states the official website of CYRx MD Cosmetic Surgery.
In 1993, Dr. Cyr received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology both Summa Cum Laude/Valedictorian from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, TX. He pursued his medical degree via early acceptance into the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio and graduated in 1996.
