Douglas J. Fauser, M.D., F.A.A.O.S., F.A.C.S., recieved his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine in 1982. Following school, Dr. Fauser went on to complete an internship at Wilmilngton Medical Center in Delaware and a residency in in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York. Since starting this impressive career in medicine, he has become a member of a number of societies including the American College of Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the American Association of Hip & Knee Surgeons, the New York State Society Of Orthopaedic Sugeons and a Fellow of both the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons. His list of achievements goes on to include winning the Castle Connolly' Top Doctors for the New York Metro Area' award in 2009, and the 'Patients Choice Award' in 2009 and 2010. Today, Dr. Fauser practices orthopaedic surgery at Somers Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine Group in Carmel, New York and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the New York University School of Medicine/Hospital for Joint Disease Orthopaedic Institute.
