Ziad F. Issa, MD, obtained his medical degree in 1994 from the University of Jordan School of Medicine in Amman, Jordan. Upon finishing his degree, Dr. Issa moved to the United States, where he completed his residency at Indiana University School of Medicine followed by a Cardiac Electrophysiology and Cardiology Fellowship, also at Indiana University School of Medicine. Since the start of his impressive career, Issa has become a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Cardiology, the National Arab American Medical Association, and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. His list of achievements include being the lead author to the book, 'Clinical Arrhythmology and Electrophysiology: A Companion to Braunwald 's Heart Disease' and being hired on as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, in Springfield, Illinois. Dr. Issa still devotes his time to his patients, practicing cardiology at Prairie Cardiovascular Consultants, in Illinois.
