Howard Jay Hassell, MD, obtained his medical degree in 1974 from Wake Forest University School Of Medicine, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He went on to complete his residency at the University of Connecticut and fellowship at the University of Toronto. Since starting his career, Dr. Hassell has become a member of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons,the Diplomat of the American Board of Forensic Examiners, the South Orthopedic Association, the Faculty Staff at Connecticut University, the American Academy of Disability Rating and the Swiss Association in Trauma Osteosynthesis and a fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine, Fellow, American Academy of Pain Management. Today he practices orthopaedic surgery at South Texas Orthopedic and Fracture Clinic, in San Antonio, Texas.
