Gary R. Kuzma, MD, has led an admirable career in medicine that began after obtaining his medical degree in 1975 from State University of New York Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. He then completed a general surgery internship at Tulane Charity Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana; orthopaedic surgery residency at State University of New York Upstate Medical Center; hand surgery fellowship at H. K. Watson, Hartford Hospital, Newington's Children Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut; and Christian Kleinert Hand Fellow at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Kuzma's career has seen numerous achievements including being named as 'Top 100 Physicians in North Carolina' and 'Patients Choice Award' by Vitals.com in 2010; membership in professional societies such as the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Reconstructive Microsurgery Association, and North Carolina Society for Surgery of the Hand.
