Get to know Radiologist Dr. Mohammad A. Bilal, who serves the population of New York.

Dr. Bilal is a highly trained and qualified radiologist who specializes in all aspects of diagnostic and interventional radiology with particular expertise in oncologic interventions, women’s interventional health, and spine intervention. He is currently the Medical Director of Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson, New York. He is also affiliated with Stony Brook University Hospital, where he holds the academic title of Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiology. 

With an impressive professional journey filled with numerous achievements, the doctor is board certified in diagnostic radiology, vascular radiology, and interventional radiology by the American Board of Radiology, which is a not-for-profit physician-led organization with headquarters in Tucson, Arizona. It oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.

In regards to his educational background, Dr. Bilal received his medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine. Following his graduation, he completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at  Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where he was the junior and senior Chief Resident. He then went on to complete his fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at the same educational venue.

Among his professional affiliations, he is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society, the American College of Radiology, the American Medical Association, the Suffolk County Medical Society, and the Medical Society of the State of New York.
