If it hurts I wouldn't sometimes the nail will fall off on its own. If painful and gets caught on things I would see a professional to numb the toe and remove the nail. READ MORE

I would recommend a more custom insert to maybe stop the progression of the bunion. A bunion may get worse over time or may not. READ MORE

Can you treat heel spurs at home?
It may not be the spur but could be plantar fasciitis. Hard to tell at times. There are stretching and icing exercise to help. If it is an actual bone spur that hurts possible surgery is needed. READ MORE
What can I do about my nail infection?
Infection like a fungus or infection like red and pus? It's hard to tell for me to give you the best answer. If it is infected with bacteria then yes sometimes removing the nail is best. If it is fungal then no removing it is not needed most of the time. READ MORE
How can I reduce the growth of hammer toe?
You can try to use a splint. Sometimes inserts may help as well. If it is a rigid (stiff) deformity surgery would be needed READ MORE
Can tight shoes cause corns on my feet?
Most likely from the tight shoes and rubbing. Go to a wider shoe. They may resolve over time once the pressure/rubbing is removed. READ MORE

Are you sure they are warts? Sometimes callus tissue may mimic a wart. Warts are caused from a virus you could pick up anywhere. READ MORE

Why is my toe bleeding randomly?
You could have developed blood under the nail (subungual hematoma) which could keep bleeding from time to time. The nail may need to be removed to look and make sure there is nothing wrong with the nail bed. READ MORE
What can I do for dry and cracked feet?
Sometimes. Do you wear shoes or sandals? You can try over the counter lotions. Make sure they have a urea base. READ MORE
How can I get rid of a fungal infection?
I would make sure it is a fungus first since nothing has worked. You can set up a visit and get a nail biopsy. There are topical and oral medications. If it is not fungus though they won't work. READ MORE
How do you repair an ingrown toenail?
I would have to look at it to see if there is an infection. But if it is red, swollen or pus then I would say yes it is infected. There are in office procedures that can be done to help remove that painful ingrown. People try at home cutting a v in the nail or using cotton on the side but I haven't seen that work to well. Are there home remedies for foot fungus?
I don't know many home remedies that work. I've had patients tell me that white vinegar, vicks vapor rub may work. (yet I see them in my office) There are OTC medications from your local CVS or Walgreens or stores like those for athlete's foot. The stronger stuff is prescription. READ MORE
Why does my big toe hurt when I apply too much pressure?
It could be depending on where the pain is. If it is the side of the nail then possible. It looks like the nail grows into the skin on the sides. It could be a bone spur or other things. READ MORE

Is there a cure for toenail fungus?
There is an oral option but you'll need a prescription. Sometimes they may check your liver function as well. The oral option is 1 tab for 90 days. There is also a chance it is not fungus. READ MORE
Would I need surgery for my heel spur?
Depends. Some people have heel spurs with no pain. It may not be the spur. Could be other options out there. If the spur is on the back of the heel then surgery is most likely. Recovery all depends on what is done. If the heel spur is the bottom of the foot it may not be needed to resect that spur. READ MORE
Why are my feet dry and cracked?
You could possibly have a fungus or could just need a lotion and hydration. READ MORE
How can I get rid of toenail fungus?
People say there are. I have not seen them work since I see them in my office. There are some OTC nail polishes that possibly work. Sometimes an oral medication may work. READ MORE
