Dr. Hoegler is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, which he joined in 2008. In May 2021, Dr. Hoegler was appointed Interim Chair for the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in addition to his roles as Co-Medical Director of Henry Ford Hospital OR (2020 – Present) and Vice Chair of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery (2017 – Present).
He is additionally affiliated with Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital in Bloomfield, Michigan. Dr. Hoegler specializes in the surgical management of broken bones and trauma injuries. Prior to his current endeavors, he served as Division Head for Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery at Henry Ford Hospital for 12 years (2008 – 2020).

He further conducted his internship and orthopedic surgery residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, in 2007. In 2008, Dr. Hoegler completed a fellowship in trauma surgery at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. Prior to medical school, he attended Ohio University for his Bachelor of Science degree, which he acquired in 1998.
Dr. Hoegler attained board certification in orthopedic surgery through the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons. It is a member of the American Board of Medical Specialties.
