Can colon cancer be cured with a surgery?
As long as the cancer has not spread beyond the area that is removed, there is the potential for cure. The chance of cure is greatest when the tumor is confined to the colon wall, but it can still be cured if advanced as long as all the visible cancer is removed. READ MORE

I am a 27 year old man and am about 53 lbs overweight. I have noticed some blood in my stools. Could it be polyps or cancer?
While you are younger than most people who develop polyps and cancers of the large intestine, it is not unheard of for someone your age to have them. In addition, we are seeing an increase in the incidence of such cancers in young people. I recommend investigating blood in the stool regardless of your age.
