Get to know Dentist Dr. Bamidele James Lawal, who serves patients in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Dr. Lawal is a seasoned dentist practicing at Westbrook Dental Group in Winnipeg, Manitoba in Canada. He specializes in preventing, diagnosing, and treating diseases and conditions associated with the mouth and overall dental health. He is also experienced in impacted wisdom teeth extractions and implants. He is determined to enhance his patients’ quality of life, providing high quality, individualized care in order to ensure the most optimal results.

Westbrook Dental Group was established in October 1990 by Dr. George Cadigan. He owned and worked at the practice until the spring of 2010, when he sold the practice to Dr. Bamidele James Lawal, who has kept up the wonderful dental work done in the practice and still upholds the “We Cater to Cowards” logo of Dr. Cadigan. The mission of Westbrook Dental Group is to provide the best possible dental care to their patients so that they may have healthy, attractive and functional teeth and gums for a lifetime.

Pertaining to his educational pursuits, Dr. Lawal graduated with his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Ibadan in Nigeria in 1993, and completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the John F. Kennedy Hospital in Monrovia, Liberia in 1999. Upon relocating to Canada, he completed his general practice residency at the University of Manitoba Health Science Center in 2004. Finally, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of McGill in 2009.

With an unwavering commitment to his specialty, the doctor is licensed by the National Dental Examining Board of Canada, and remains a distinguished member of the Manitoba Dental Association and the American Dental Association.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.

Among his most notable achievements, Dr. Lawal has been the recipient of the Top Dentist in Manitoba Award in 2018.

On a more personal note, he has dedicated his life to delivering quality and compassionate care, and attributes his success to love of the profession. In his free time, he enjoys playing and watching soccer.
