Get to know Physiotherapist Dr. Olivia Cruz, who serves the population of California. Dr. Cruz completed her undergraduate degree from the California State University in Fullerton where she graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology with minor in Health Science. Furthering her education she then graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Azusa Pacific University. After obtaining her doctorate degree she completed clinical rotations as a student physical therapist at Kaiser Permanente, St. Joseph’s Outpatient facility, Garfield Medical Center, and Bay Rehabilitation allowing her to treat patients of diverse populations and diagnoses ranging from common orthopedic conditions to neurological disorders, to treating patients in intensive care units and cardiac rehabilitation floors. She holds certification in Physical Therapy. To stay up to date in her field Dr. Cruz remains a professional member of the American Physical Therapy Association. She has been active in the physical therapy outpatient orthopedic field for the past five years starting out as a volunteer working her way up as an aide, physical therapy student, and finally as a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy. She began working as a physical therapy aide in the Diamond Bar area where she realized her passion for helping people regain their sense of independence and achieve happier and healthier lives through physical therapy. When not working, Dr. Cruz enjoys following and attending professional basketball and baseball games as she is an avid Lakers and Dodgers fan. She enjoys staying active and going on local hikes with her dog as well as spending time with friends and family.
