Charles R. Woods, MD, received his medical degree in 1985 from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. At the same medical school, Dr. Woods completed his residency in pediatrics and fellowship in pediatric infectious diseases. His medical career has seen numerous achievements including the publication of his research and studies about pediatrics in renowned peer-reviewed medical journals; and membership in professional societies such as the American Association of Pediatrics, Society for Pediatric Research, and Pediatric Infectious Disease Society. Excellent teachers and role models, he says, are keys to his success. Today, Woods practices pediatric infectious diseases medicine at the University Pediatric Infectious Diseases, Jewish Hospital, Kosair Childrens Hospital, all in Louisville, Kentucky; he also works as a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Kentucky.
