Kazim Sheikh, MD, earned his medical degree in 1987 from King Edward Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan. He then continued his medical training in the United States, attending Nassau County Medical Center in New York for his internal medicine internship, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York for his residency in neurology, culminating in a fellowship training in peripheral nerve at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. His medical career has seen numerous achievements including the publication of his research about neurology in renowned medical journals. Hard work, he says, is key to his success. Today, the doctor practices neurology as Director of Neuromuscular Program at the University of Texas Health Science Center; he also works as Professor of Neurology at the University of Texas Medical School.
