Charles E. Hughes III, MD, obtained his medical degree in 1969 from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, in Chicago. He went on to complete his internship at Passavant Memorial Hospital in Chicago, residency at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago and a surgical oncology fellowship through the American Cancer Society. His medical career has seen numerous achievements including becoming a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, publishing research results in renowned medical journals, and being an editor for the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Journal. Excellent mentors and excellent, well-balanced training program, he says, are instrumental to his success. Today, the doctor practices plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Indianapolis Institute for Plastic Surgery and at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove, Indiana; he also works as a National Visiting Professor at the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
