A native of Geneva, Dr. Ruetschi graduated with her medical degree from the University of Geneva. Upon relocating to the United States, she completed her internship and residency in plastic surgery at the Cornell University Medical Center. Finally, she completed her fellowship in head and neck reconstruction and breast reconstruction at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
As a testament of her continued education, the doctor is board-certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). The mission of the ABPS is to promote safe, ethical, efficacious plastic surgery to the public by maintaining high standards for the education, examination, certification, and continuous certification of plastic surgeons as specialists and subspecialists.
