Born and raised in Michigan, Dr. Frank Orlando is a two-time University of Michigan graduate. He obtained his BS (bachelors of science) with high honors in psychology in 2001 and then went on earn his DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) degree in 2005, where he graduated in the top 10% of his class. Immediately following graduation, he began a one-year residency in advanced education in general dentistry at the University of Florida Jacksonville Clinic. There he received advanced training in all aspects of general dentistry with a specific emphasis on the placement and restoration of dental implants and cosmetic dentistry. This training gave Dr. Orlando the ability to fully restore patients to ideal function, health, and appearance. Since completing his residency in 2006, Dr. Orlando has practiced dentistry in Manhattan.
By obtaining his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Dr. Orlando has joined a select group of dentists that comprise of less than 5% of all dentists in North America.
Dr. Orlando is passionate about his profession and feels that he owes it to his patients to stay on the cutting edge of dentistry so he can provide them with the best possible care. Dr. Orlando has earned over 1,200 continuing education credits (New York only requires 60 credits over 3 years) by attending continuums, seminars and workshops focused on minimally invasive, cosmetic and implant dentistry. Dr. Orlando has received extensive training in esthetic dentistry, root canal treatment, oral surgery, implant dentistry, fixed and removable prosthetics, periodontal surgery, occlusion and TMJ therapy.
When not practicing dentistry, you can find Dr. Orlando working out, walking his puppy Sophie around Columbus Circle or playing volleyball. Dr. Orlando has been married to his lovely wife Meghann since 2008.
