  • Urinating heavy blood

It can be lots of things. You need to see a urologist and have an evaluation. You need a CT scan and a cystoscopy. It can be a stone and infection, but you need to make sure it isn't anything more serious like a tumor or mass. READ MORE

  • What could be the cause of this and why does blood in urine come and go?

It could be a kidney stone or perhaps an incompletely treated urinary infection. READ MORE

  • How does a cystoscopy work?

It should not hurt. It will sting, but it doesn't last very long. It is less than a minute usually. If you have blood in the urine, it is standard of care to have a cystoscopy. READ MORE

  • Do kidney stones cause blood in urine?

Blood can be caused by a lot of things. Kidney stone is one of the causes. Most likely you need a full evaluation with a CT scan and possible cystoscopy. READ MORE

  • What can I do to prevent the return of hydrocele?

If the hydrocele repair is done correctly it should not come back. The sac that surrounds the testicle should be opened completely and sewn behind the testicle. That way the fluid can not reform if there is no sac. I also always leave a drain overnight to prevent blood and fluid accumulating. Hope that helps READ MORE

  • I have to get up to pee throughout the night and it interrupts my sleep. Is something wrong?

It can be a problem or it can be normal. When people get older, it is normal to wake up at night to urinate - one time in your 60s, twice in your 70s and 3 times in your 80. In addition, if you drink a lot of fluids in the evening after dinner, you will wake up to urinate, especially if you drink alcohol or caffiene at night. It can also be affected by medications. • UTIs (male) with no symptoms?

Unless your doctor sends urine for a culture it is very difficult to be certain you have an infection. A culture takes 48hrs to grow. This will determine what the exact bacteria that is growing. A urine dipstick cannot be used to diagnosis a UTI. READ MORE
