Nusrath M. Habiba, MD, works at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth Texas. In addition to treating patients under the family medicine specialty, Dr. Habiba mentors residents there and serves as an assistant professor and course director in the Pediatrics department. Prior to working there, she had her own family practice in India until 1999. From 2000 to 2005 before her completion of residency, Dr. Habiba maintained a research position at North Texas, focusing on the kidneys of the diabetic patient and skin microdialysis. Today, Dr. Habiba teaches a course on the gastrointestinal system and her work on kidneys and genetic disorders has been published in several peer-reviewed medical journals.
