Do you lose feeling in your nipples after breast implants?
Usually nipple sensation after breast augmentation is maintained. The procedure, however, does have the risk of temporary or permanent sensory changes. This can occur due to anatomical differences in the breast, surgical approach, or surgical technique. Normal nipple sensation,however, is the norm. READ MORE
How long after blepharoplasty do you see results?
While final blepharoplasty results can take a few months to finalize, improvements in appearance should be apparent in one or two weeks Each case is individual and can be affected by various things such as preexisting anatomy, postoperative swelling, and individual wound healing factors. READ MORE
What is the best surgery for under eye bags?
While there are several options for lower eyelid "bags", the gold standard is a surgical procedure called blepharoplasty. This procedure, through a small lash line incision, both removes the excess fatty tissue and tightens any loose skin if necessary. The procedure can be performed under many types of anesthesia including local anesthesia. It is a relatively pain free recovery with potential bruising for 5 to 8 days on average. The results can be dramatic in erasing the many telltale signs of eyelid aging including puffiness, dark shadowing, or skin laxity. READ MORE
How many times can you get a face lift?
Getting a facelift procedure does not negate your ability to get a second one later in life. That option will be based on how the aging process affects you and your facial anatomy over time. Frequently, other smaller procedures may suffice to correct areas of skin laxity and volume loss. In addition, risks and benefits of a secondary facelift would need to be evaluated in the future since repeat facial surgery can have higher levels of surgical difficulty. Does a rhinoplasty have a long recovery time?
Rhinoplasty recovery can be divided into 2 stages. The initial phase involves the primary surgical healing which encompasses the major swelling and incision healing. This phase takes approximately 1 to 3 weeks. The second stage involves the final aesthetic result which includes all tissue settling, remolding, and final edema resolution. The nasal tip can take the longest to fully heal. This phase typically occurs between 6 and 12 months. Rhinoplasty is, like many other surgeries, a safe procedure if it is performed properly by a qualified surgeon. All surgeries, however, have potential complications. In rhinoplasty, it is extremely important that both form and function are taken into consideration. Aesthetic improvements have to also preserve or improve nasal function. Plastic surgery results clearly turn back the clock on appearance but can't be expected to last forever. Unfortunately, the aging process, weight shifts, gravity, and other factors can affect results long term. Typically, however, the result will look improved long term compared to what the long term uncorrected appearance would be.
