With over two decades of experience in her field, she considers being a physician to be a privilege, as it offers the opportunity to medically and emotionally care for patients and their families. Her areas of expertise include neuromuscular disorders, peripheral neuropathy, and pain management.

A 1991 graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, Dr. Maindiratta continued her journey with an internship at New York University Medical Centre/Veterans Affairs. She then went on to perform her residency in neurology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, serving as chief resident from 1995 until 1996. Wanting to further her training, she completed her fellowship in neuromuscular disorders and EMG at Montefiore Medical Center in 1997.

An expert in the sophisticated pathways of the neurological system, the doctor is board-certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high-quality patient care for the public through the initial and continuing certification of psychiatrists and neurologists.
