Rick A. Henderson, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  Dr. Henderson has clinical interests in pacemakers, electrocardiography, advanced cardiac life support, and defibrillators.  Among his many specialties lies electrophysiology; or the science behind the measurement of the heart's electrical activities.  The invention of the wireless pacemaker is something Dr. Henderson installs on a regular basis for patients who live far away from the hospital and may not always be able to make the trip.  When not performing these surgeries, Dr. Henderson can be found teaching medical students at Wake Forest who are learning about cardiovascular diseases and internal medicine.
