Marika Dekanoidze, DDS, is the head of the office at Summerhill Gardens Dental in Ontario, Canada. Possessing a special certification in prosthodontics from the Moscow Dental School, she is also a part-time teacher of prosthodontics at the University of Toronto. An Invisalign premier provider for the last 5 years, in 2008 she was awarded the Elite Honour Award from Invisalign. This prestigious honor is only given to the top 1% of dentists in North America, Dr. Dekanoidze being the first from Canada to receive it. She is a strong supporter of education for not only herself, but her staff, who often attend seminars. Her biggest claim in the dental world is the creation of the HAPA Alliance, or Holistic Approach Professional Association, created with a medical doctor and naturopathic doctor. Holistic approach to medical care is a rising field, that takes into account the patient as a whole individual. The purpose of the HAPA Alliance is to help others understand the concept, involving minimal drug use, Invisalign over metal orthodontics, collaboration with other medical professionals to achieve an ultimate goal better health for one and all.
