Maricor Grio, MD, MS, is currently on staff at the Hewell Kids Kidney Center in Orlando, Florida. The center is the first in Central Florida exclusively for children, and opened in April 2011 as a branch of Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital. During Dr. Grio's fellowship at the University of Michigan Health System, she received the National Institute of Health Scholarship for her clinical research pursuits. In addition to her MD, she possesses a Master's in Clinical Research Design and Statistical Analysis, also from the University of Michigan. Dr. Grio also takes part in Kidney Walks for the National Kidney Foundation on behalf of Hewell Kids. She is passionate about children's healthcare and very dedicated to her field.
