About

Virginia Chiantella, MD, FACS, has accomplished a significant amount in her 23 year long career as a physician.  After obtaining her medical degree in 1983 from Bowman Gray School of Medicine, she completed a residency at North Carolina Baptist Hospital.  While finishing her residency, Dr. Chiantella received the Award for Best Research, through the Residents' Research Forum, American College of Surgeons. Her career has since flourished to include numerous other awards and multiple publications in peer-reviewed professional journals.  Dr. Chiantella is the founder and Medical Advisor of The Loudoun Breast Health Network.  She has been an avid public speaker on breast cancer in many different forums including local television programs, Capitol Hill, and the Loudoun Breast Health Network Annual Breast Cancer event.  Today, she practices at Reston Breast Care Specialists in Leesburg, Virginia; in 2012 she will be moving her location to Reston.
