K. Wayne Marshall, MD, PhD, FRCSC, has extensive expertise in osteoarthritis. His knowledge ranges from early cartilage injury to the need for a full joint replacement. Dr. Marshall began his obtaining his wealth of knowledge in medical school at Wayne State University where he graduated in 1977. He eventually went on to receive his PhD in 1994 in joint neurophysiology from the University of Toronto. Throughout his career, Dr. Marshall has written over 100 clinical and basic scientific papers, and abstracts, he has also consulted with pharmaceutical and biotech companies. Today he works in Canada at Toronto Western Hospital- University Health Network.Â
