Vincent J. Bufalino, MD, is the Chairman/CEO at Midwest Heart Specialists in Illinois. An expert on cardiovascular disease and stroke prevention, he is also Chairman of the Board for Midwest Heart Foundation. Dr. Bufalino has a long history of service with the American Heart Association over the past 20 years. He has served as Past Chairman for the AHA National Business Committee for Emergency Cardiac Care, and a Member of the National Board of Directors. He has also served on panels for Disease Management and the National Administrative Cabinet. His work for this foundation and others has been rewarded with a Heart of Gold Award in 2001, an AHA Chairman's Award in 2005, and a Long-Haul Award for Community Service in 2002; also from the American Heart Association. As a preventative specialist, Dr. Bufalino is truly a lifesaver in cardiac care.
