Growing up as the son of poor parents from a coal mining town in northeastern Pennsylvania, Guido D. Boriosi, MD, knew he wanted to be a psychiatrist since age 13.  Now, he is a celebrated author of 2 books and a lifetime member of the American Psychiatric Association with a private practice in Clarks Green, Pennsylvania. Originally denied entrance to medical school, Dr. Boriosi worked several jobs, including Chief of Radiation Protection for the State of Pennsylvania, and two years in the US Army infantry, stationed in Germany.  His books discuss the intimate relationships one can have with oneself, and maintaining relationships with others.  He is also the subject of radio interviews and travels extensively promoting his books and their easy-to-understand concepts.
