Get to know Oncologist Dr. Todd D. Shenkenberg, who serves patients in Texas.

Dr. Shenkenberg is a highly regarded oncologist who currently employs his extensive expertise with Valley Center Associates in Harlingen and Brownsville, Texas.

He enjoys an excellent reputation among fellow medical professionals and patients alike for his proficiency in medical oncology and ability to deliver competent treatment of blood cancers, such as leukemia and blood-borne diseases as well as solid tumors. He also often serves as the main caretaker of cancer patients coordinating treatments provided by other specialists as well.

A 1980 graduate of Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Shenkenberg performed his internship and residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center in 1982 and 1984, respectively. From there, he went on to complete his fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1986.

With vast medical expertise across all facets of his specialty, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine and medical oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
