Oluwatoyin Fatai Bamgbola, MD, FAAP, FMC (Paed),Nig. is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Chief of the Division of Pediatric Nephrology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He was the top graduating resident of the Dept. of Pediatrics at the Brooklyn Hospital Center [affiliate of Weill College of Medicine of the Cornell University, New York] in June 2000. He received National Institute of Health grant for fellowship training in Pediatric Nephrology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, New York [2000-2003]. He was the recipient of Patient’s Choice Award for Most Favorite Physician, Oklahoma for the year 2007-2008. In 2008, he was given the Percy Rosenbaum Professorship in Pediatric Nephrology at Louisiana State University Health Science Center in New Orleans. He has reputation for being a compassionate and genuinely caring physician with an excellent teaching skills. He treats children and adolescents with hypertension, nephrotic syndrome, end stage kidney disease [dialysis], and kidney transplants. He is an academic physician, and he is instrumental in the training of numerous medical students, residents and fellows who are accomplished medical doctors in various specialties across the United States. He is a renowned clinical researcher with more than 40 medical publications.
