His interest in sports medicine took him through an orthopedics residency and stint in the United States Army stationed in Turkey. In the past, he served as Chief of Orthopedics at Holy Name Medical Center, and also served on their Executive Board for many years. Dr. Katona continues to practice today, with a special interest in joint replacement, treatment for fractures, and knee arthroscopies.
