Rising up from an era in which there were no female cardiologists, Ellen Jane Killebrew has gone to to lead a successful career with Kaiser Permanente and Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Richmond, California. A former President of the American Heart Association, Dr. Killebrew specializes in non-invasive adult cardiology. In 1990, she contributed to a book on cardiac care by writing a chapter on cardiac diagnosis. She is also a clinical professor of medicine at the University of San Francisco and continues to inspire women in medicine to this day.
