John R. Kingsley, MD, FACS, RVT, is the founder of Alabama Vascular Vein Center's located in both Birmingham, Alabama and Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Kingsley is a world-wide acclaimed pioneer and teacher in the surgical treatment of Phlebology who specializes in the treatment of vein disorders and the development of innovative surgical techniques. He was one of the first physicians in the U.S. to develop and practice modern vein treatment methods, beginning these new procedures in the year 2000. His involvment in the field has extended to Japn and Australia, being the primary U.S. Consultant for the Tokyo Vein Clinic as well as, in 2007, being selected to the Australasian College of Phlebology as an Emeritus Fellow. As well as maintaining his practices, Dr. Kingsley is the Co-Founder and Director of the Alabama Phlebology Training Institute; which is one of the premier training centers in the U.S. For the past 7 straight years the Consumers Research Council of America has recognized him as one of the top surgeons in the U.S.
