Established in 1970, Radiology Associates of Florida, P.A. is committed to excellence in providing superior quality medical radiological services to the community, utilizing the highest level of medical expertise & techniques, and leading-edge technology of equipment.  

In his current capacity, Dr. Lichtenstein can also be found on staff at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, an 839-bed health care facility located in Sarasota, Florida. The hospital was founded in 1925 and is currently the only trauma center in Sarasota County.

The doctor is board-certified in both radiology and neuroradiology by the American Board of Radiology, which oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics. He is also a member of the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, and the American Society of Neuroradiology.

A 1987 graduate of the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine, Dr. Lichtenstein went on to complete his internship at Deaconess Hospital, followed by his residency in radiology at Tulane Medical Center. He completed his fellowship in neuroradiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Neuroradiology is a subspecialty of radiology focusing on the diagnosis and characterization of abnormalities of the central and peripheral nervous system, spine, and head and neck using neuroimaging techniques. Neuroradiologists are doctors who focus on diagnosing conditions of the spine, neck, head, and central nervous system. They use medical equipment, such as computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging machines, to identify problems.
