Ragui Sadek, MD, FACS, is a noted authority of laparoscopic bariatric surgery around the world.  His home base is Somerset, New Jersey, working at Advanced Surgical and Bariatrics NJ, PA. He has performed over 1,000 procedures, using the REALIZE gastric band, among other minimally invasive procedures.  Dr. Sadek has lectured internationally and presented his work at meetings for the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Gastroendoscopic Surgeons.  Among his other landmarks, Dr. Sadek is known for being one of the first physicians to perform natural orifice surgery (NOTES) treatment for GERD and obese patients.
