Born and raised in Mexico City, Rodolfo Arcovedo, MD, is a minimally invasive surgeon practicing at Coast Surgical Group in San Diego, California. Certified in Germany in clinical ultrasonography, Dr. Arcovedo also has a unique background in rural surgery. He volunteered in Sri Lanka for Doctors Without Borders, worked in Mexico City, then worked in rural Iowa. Dr Arcovedo expanded his laparoscopic expertees in Barcelona, Spain, and is now working the urban setting in Southern California since he joined his current group in 2005. In the past, he also served as an instructor of the National Faculty of Ultrasound of the American College of Surgeons. He has developed a particular interest in breast diseases, where his ultrasonographic skills are particularly useful.
