William Y. Chey, MD, is a national and international expert on digestive and liver diseases, practicing at the Rochester Institute for Digestive Disease and Sciences in Rochester, New York. His expertise is in gastroenterological motility disorders, functional bowel disorders including irritable bowel disease, peptic ulcer disease, endocrine tumors of the pancreas, prancreatitis and inflammatory bowel disease. He received post doctoral degrees: MSc, DSc, from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He was a Professor of Medicine and former Director of Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at University of Rochester Medical Center in New York, and has over 300 publications, mostly in peer review journals, over 50 textbook chapters and two books. He is currently the Editor in Chief of Clinical Endoscopy.
