Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Cheryl Twu, who serves patients in Honolulu, Hawaii.

A skilled obstetrician-gynecologist with over 15 years of experience in her field, Dr. Twu tends to patients at her private practice – Wellness OB/GYN – in Honolulu, Hawaii. As an osteopath, she believes in a holistic approach to healing and practices osteopathic manipulative medicine. She is trained in minimally invasive surgery, including Da Vinci Robotic-assisted surgeries.

Throughout her academic career, she graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience and went on to study Eastern Medicine and Acupuncture at Samra University in Los Angeles. She went to medical school at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in California and completed her residency in obstetrics & gynecology at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.

Recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians & Gynecologists (FACOOG), the doctor is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (AOBOG), which is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) who specialize in the care of the female reproductive tract and children during the course of pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period (obstetricians) and to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the female reproductive tract (gynecologists).

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).

Among her most notable achievements, Dr. Twu has been named a Top Doctor every year since 2011.
