Shelley Kolton, MD, works at Downtown Women's OBGYN Associates in New York City.  She holds a particular interest in menopause, aging and transgender medicine.  Always a progressive thinker, Dr. Kolton went to school at a time when vaginal birth after Cesarean section was considered taboo, and was one of the first OBGYN's to perform this at a private practice.  She encourages new mothers to take an active part in their prenatal care all the way up until delivery.  Fellowship trained in vaginal ultrasonography, she uses this technique to diagnose cancers and infertility without causing any pain.
