Dean R. Cerio, MD, is a plastic surgeon who attends to patients at East Coast Advanced Plastic Surgery, a cutting-edge private practice with offices in Hoboken, Livingston, Ridgewood, and Englewood, New Jersey. Dr. Cerio co-founded East Coast Advanced Plastic Surgery (ECAPS) in 2011, along with Dr. Cyrus Loghmanee, his longtime friend and colleague. Since the inception of the practice, Dr. Mazen Bedri and Dr. Charbel Chalfoun have joined Dr. Cerio and Dr. Loghmanee. Dr. Cerio has an impressive professional journey that spans seven years and his areas of expertise cover aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the entire body, with a special interest in breast cancer reconstruction. “At ECAPS, Dr. Cerio provides all of his cosmetic patients and breast cancer survivors with a sense of wholeness and a new outlook on life. Dr. Cerio specializes in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the entire body, with special expertise in breast cancer reconstruction. At ECAPS, Dr. Cerio provides all of his cosmetic patients and breast cancer survivors with a sense of wholeness and a new outlook on life.
Sharing his knowledge of the topic is important to him, having published 3 major textbook chapters, and 4 medical journal articles to date. Dean Cerio, M.D. has also presented his work at 11 local, regional, and national plastic surgery society meetings.
Dr. Cerio graduated with his Medical Degree from the St. George's University School of Medicine in 2003, giving her over a decade of experience in his field. After obtaining his medical degree he completed his general surgery residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Furthering his training he completed his Plastic Surgery fellowship with the University Of Alabama Birmingham.
Dr. Cerio is dual certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. The American Board of Surgery is an independent, nonprofit organization founded in 1937 to provide board certification to individuals who have met a defined standard of education, training and knowledge in the field of surgery.
