Jodi L. Smith, PhD, MD, maintains a position with Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine located in Indianapolis, Indiana. With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Smith has been a leader in the field of pediatric neurosurgery. With double board certification in neurosurgery and pediatric neurosurgery, Dr. Smith contributes numerous publications and guest lectures around the globe; some topics being on Neurulation, Moyamoya Syndrome, and Craniofacial Reconstruction. A strong advocate for continued education, Dr. Smith is a member to many medical associations including being a Fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons; as well as, being an Assistant Professor and Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery Service with the Indiana University School of Medicine. Her courses cover neurosurgery and pediatric neurosurgery in full including traumatic brain injuries in children and management of hydrocephalus and shunt complications in children. Dr. Smith is an attending physician to local hospitals, like James Whitcomb Riley Hospital for Children, where she is the founder and Co-Director of the Pediatric Epilepsy Surgery Program.
