Elsa J. Suh, MD, FACC, maintains a position at Pediatric Cardiology Associates based out of Tampa, Florida. Earlier in her career, Dr. Suh was a part of the medical staff at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia as an interventional cardiology attending, and as their Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She then relocated to Florida, where her focus in the field of cardiology was directed towards invasive cardiology, including sophisticated cardiac catheterizations and therapeutic interventions; which could terminate the need for open-heart surgery in children and adults with congenital heart defects. A doctor of distinction, Dr. Suh has performed fetal cardiac interventions; which is a procedure that is only offered at less than five centers in the world. Throughout her career, Dr. Suh obtained a research grant from the American Heart Association as a cardiology fellow in basic science and carried out her research work at the Rockefeller University/Cornell Medical Center in New York. In 2009 she received the Humanitarian Award for her achievements and success.
