Arthur Kanowitz, MD, FACEP, is the Founder, CEO and Medical Director for Securyisyn Medical, LLC in Colorado. In addition, he is also the Colorado State Medical Director for Emergency Medical and Trauma Services for the Colorado Department of Public Health. From his humble beginnings as an EMT himself, Dr. Kanowitz rose up through the ranks over the last 30 years. He has been a leader of various Colorado EMS boards, and has served on national EMS and Trauma committees. His company, Securisyn Medical is dedicated to the mission of developing a world in which the complications of emergency airway management no longer exist. His patented invention, The SolidAIRity Airway Stabilization System, was designed to significantly decrease the incidence of unplanned removal of a life sustaining breathing tube, known as unplanned extubation, through its ability to restrain against significantly greater forces than current standard of care devices.
