Obviously, stop using hydroxyzine! You may need epinephren(epipen) for swelling and trouble breathing , and antihistamines/and or vit. The fact that he is not responding to typical treatment sounds like his immune system is not functioning properly. He may just be low in nutrients( vit. A,B,C,D,etc) or it may be more complicated. I recommend seeing someone who does functional medicine and nutrition. READ MORE
How do you know if your child is allergic to Tylenol?
There is no test that I am aware of to test for it. If you are suspicious of it, start by putting a drop on his arm and look for redness or other reaction over the next day or two. If no reaction, put a drop in mouth and watch for reaction, Have antihistamine available and phone to call 911 if there is a severe reaction.
