Recognized as one of the worlds foremost authorities on macular degeneration, eye disease and nutrition, Dr. Edward Paul is the researcher and inventor of the patented TOZAL Comprehensive Eye Health Formula, a prescription eye vitamin for the prevention and treatment of macular degeneration.
Dr. Paul has been in private practice in for more than 25 years helping people to see better and live healthier lives through a combination of traditional and alternative medicine. It was through his treatment of patients suffering from age-related macular degeneration that he developed the revolutionary TOZAL formula, which was the focus of a landmark study published in 2007 in the British medical journal BMC Ophthalmology.
A graduate of the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, Dr. Paul completed his internship training at Womack Army Hospital at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and St. Lukes Eye Institute in Tarpon Springs, Florida. In addition to his doctorate in optometry, Dr. Paul also holds a Ph.D. in nutrition. He is considered by his peers and colleagues as a leading clinician and educator whose approach to eye-care is years ahead of the conventional medical establishment. In addition to TOZAL, Dr. Paul holds multiple U.S. and international patents on pharmaceutical agents and medical devices used in eye-care practices all over the world. He has been recognized by the Consumers Research Council of America as one of the nations top optometrists and is one of only 30 eye physicians in the United States to be selected as a Fellow of the International Academy of Low Vision Specialists.
Beyond his research and medical practice, Dr. Paul is the author of several books, including Conquering Macular Degeneration and 101 Great Ways to Improve Your Health. Furthermore, he serves as a contributing writer for several national medical magazines and is a frequent guest on television and radio programs. He was recently featured on NBC, CBS, ABC, and FOX for his work in low vision rehabilitation and macular degeneration.
