Get to know Ophthalmologist Dr. Ryan P. Conley, who serves patients in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Dr. Conley is a board-certified ophthalmologist who is currently affiliated with Triad Eye Institute in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Triad Eye Institute is proud to be eastern Oklahoma’s leader in ophthalmology and surgical eye care, cataract removal, oculoplastics, and LASIK vision correction. Only Triad Eye Institute and Dr. Conley can offer iLASIK with iDesign technology, which delivers Tulsa’s most customized LASIK procedure.

Dr. Conley is a Clinical Instructor of Ophthalmology at Oklahoma State University. He is also the Director of the Ophthalmology Residency Program at Oklahoma State University Medical Center, as well as a Clinical Investigator for New Medications in FDA trials.

Dr. Conley has established himself on the forefront of advanced cataract surgery. He performs refractive lens implant surgery, LASIK, PRK, and various cornea transplant procedures. He also performed Oklahoma’s first LenSx laser-assisted cataract surgery in 2012. 

Dr. Conley is board-certified in ophthalmology by the American Osteopathic Board of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology. He is also a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Osteopathic Colleges of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Oklahoma Osteopathic Association.

Dr. Conley earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2005. He then went on to complete his internship and residency in ophthalmology at Oklahoma State University Medical Center. He completed his fellowship in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai. 

Dr. Conley is a frequent presenter on advanced cornea and refractive surgeries at various professional and public events. He also guest lectures to his colleagues for educational purposes. Dr. Conley attributes his success to hard work and a strong work ethic. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time on the lake. 

Ophthalmology is a branch of medicine and surgery, which deals with the diagnosis and treatment of eye disorders. Ophthalmologists are experts in the diseases, functions, and anatomy of the eye. They may provide routine care such as vision testing, as well as prescribe and fit eyeglasses or contact lenses. However, ophthalmologists are also surgeons. They repair traumatic injuries to the eye and perform cataract, glaucoma, and corneal surgery.
