Back in 1974, Dr. Kumar earned her medical degree from the University of Health Sciences / Osmania Medical College in India. Upon relocating to the United States, she served both her internship and residency at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
Following her education, the doctor became board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The ABOG is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada.
In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), she is a member of the Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons and the Richmond Academy of Medicine.
