Get to know Dentist Dr. Mohamed L. Saccoh, who serves patients in Joppa, Maryland.

Dr. Saccoh is an established family, cosmetic, and implant dentist with a state-of-the-art private practice conveniently located in Joppa, Maryland. He is dedicated to helping his patients keep their teeth for a lifetime and giving them the smiles of their dreams. 

Whether a patient is in need of general dentistry services, such as sleep apnea treatment, or is interested in enhancing their smile through cosmetic procedures, Dr. Saccoh and his dental team are on the job. They are passionate about creating a friendly, welcoming environment that inspires trust and comfort for the entire family.

Widely appreciated for his willingness to establish strong, long-lasting relationships with his patients, he takes the time to listen to their needs and desires, to explain dental procedures, and to educate them on oral health. A firm believer in open communication, his love for dentistry is further reflected by his desire to always deliver superior patient care and use the most current equipment and technology available.

Prior to entering private practice himself, Dr. Saccoh performed at exceptional levels in different practices in Southern Maryland, Hartford County. A towering figure of the communities he serves, he also volunteered his services and screened children in a number of head start programs in Baltimore, in churches, and in the homeless community.

A Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) and a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI), he is a member of the International Association for Orthodontics, the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, the Maryland State Dental Association, and the Harford/Cecil Dental Association. 

Following the completion of his Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from the University of Maryland – College Park, Dr. Saccoh obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 2001. He was awarded the Prosthodontic Honor Award and the Ferdinand Gorgas Honor Award for Academic Excellence. 

Upon graduation, he completed his Advanced Dental Education Residency at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Washington D.C. with surgical rotations at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. In an effort to provide the best for his patients and using the most current advances in dentistry, he attends more than five times the state’s continuing education requirement each year. He has trained at the world renowned Las Vegas Institute (LVI) for Advanced Dental Studies, and has completed training in implant dentistry, neuromuscular dentistry, and advanced cosmetic dentistry.

Well-respected in his field, Dr. Saccoh’s work is characterized by his compassion, warmth, enthusiasm, and professionalism. Known for his extensive training and education in all facets of dentistry, he currently mentors other dentists at the Scottsdale Center for Advanced Dentistry.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy. 

Attributing his success to his hard work and his ability to care for patients, Dr. Saccoh has been featured in Dear Doctor – Dentistry & Oral Health, and honored as one of America’s Top Dentists in 2005. 

Outside of practicing dentistry, he enjoys spending time with his family, as well as playing tennis and soccer. His favorite professional publication is Dentaltown.
