Gebrehana W. Zebro, MD, MBA, FACP, FAPA, CPE, is an internal medicine specialist, addiction medicine physician, and psychiatrist working at Metro Behavioral Health Sciences in Stafford, Virginia. Also affiliated with Washington Hospital and Fair Oaks Hospital, Dr. Zebro has 23 years of experience in his field with special expertise in addiction medicine. He graduated from medical school in Ethiopia in 1989 and pursued his residency training in internal medicine and psychiatry at the University of Virginia at Roanoke (Salem Program). He is certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry, certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and certified in addiction medicine by the American Board of Addiction Medicine. Dr. Zebro is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) and Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association (FAPA). He is certified in office-based suboxone treatment with commendation for continuing medical education and also certified in electro-convulsive therapy. He was honored as Top American Physician (2011, 2012) and with the Leadership Enhancement Advancement Award from American College of Physicians. Dr. Zebro also remains an active member of the American Medical Association, the American Psychiatric Association, the American College of Physicians, the Medical Society of Virginia, the Washington Psychiatric Society, the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, and the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
