Maofu Fu, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine in the section of Hematology and Oncology of the Department of Medicine at LSU Health New Orleans School of Medicine. Dr. Fu first obtained his bachelor?s degree of medicine at The First Military Medical University in Guangzhuo, China, in 1985 and then his PhD from Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences (China, 1994). His postgraduate training encompasses his internal medicine residency at Prince George?s Hospital and also his clinical fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital (2009-2012). Dr. Fu is certified in internal medicine, oncology, and hematology by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is also an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American College of Physicians.
