Is my sister faking being pregnant?
I'm not sure that you're sister miscarried. She likely had a false positive urine pregnancy test or a chemical pregnancy that spontaneously resolved. (A chemical pregnancy is when pregnancy hormones begin to rise slightly, but then begin to resolve before levels are ever high enough to produce a pregnancy in the womb). Blood pregnancy tests (for quantitative beta HCG) are more accurate than urine, which is the type of test her doctor likely did, so if it was negative, I believe that result. It's very unlikely to be 7 weeks pregnant, and miscarry without heavy bleeding, cramping, and passage of pregnancy tissue.. and your sister would know if she experienced any of those symptoms. If your sister is having heavy bleeding or pelvic pain, then it is reasonable for her to return to her doctor and request an ultrasound. (Bleeding and pain can also just be the resumption of her normal menstrual cycle). READ MORE
